WHAT DOES BPI ACCREDITED MEAN:
As a BPI accredited company we are qualified to do a comprehensive inspection of your home complying with strict procedures and conforming to stringent quality assurance protocols.
WHAT WE DO:
We start with a comprehensive assessment of the house to identify problems and trace them to the root cause. We then suggest and prioritize improvements. The homeowner may choose any improvements that they feel will meet their best needs. Once the improvements are decided then a contract will be drawn up which then will go to NYSERDA for approval. After approval (up to 2 days) then improvements can be made. Once all the improvements are completed, a second comprehensive assessment checks that everything is working correctly.
BENEFITS:
Through NYSERDA there are financial incentives. This will be discussed upon going over the comprehensive home assessment .
FEE:
The cost for a Comprehensive Home Assessment (CHA) is $350.00. The test usually takes 2-3 hours on site and then several hours compiling data and calculating improvements.
FEE WAIVED:
The $350.00 fee will be credited towards any improvements over $1,000.00
RECOMMENDATION:
It is highly recomended the homeowner is present throughout the assessment since this will give the homeowner an insight on not only what is being done, but see the areas that are of concern.
